What does my accountant need at year end?
The line-item export, under Settings. It breaks every invoice into individual supplies with their VAT treatment, which is what they actually work from.
Four exports sit under Settings, and the one your accountant wants is the line-item export. It breaks each invoice down into what was supplied, the value, and the VAT on each line, which is the level they reconcile at.
Also useful: the VAT summary, which you can run for any date range and which lines up with a VAT201 return, and the invoice export for a document-level overview.
All of them are plain CSV, so they open in Excel, Google Sheets or any accounting package. If your accountant prefers, invite them as an Accountant user instead — read access and exports, and nothing they could accidentally change.
If not, the assistant in the corner can dig further, or a person will pick it up by email — Mon to Fri, 08:00 to 17:00 SAST.
