1. What Klaar is
Klaar is invoicing software. We help you produce and send invoices and collect payment for them. We are not your accountant, bookkeeper or tax practitioner, and nothing the software tells you about VAT is professional tax advice.
2. Your account
You are responsible for what happens under your login, so keep your password to yourself and tell us promptly if you think someone else has it. You may invite people to your business account; what they do there is on you.
3. Paying for Klaar
Subscriptions are monthly and paid in advance. Access to invoicing stops if payment is not received, after a short grace period. Cancel any time and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Prices can change, and we will tell you before a change affects you.
Refunds, cancellation and your cooling-off right under the Consumer Protection Act are set out in full in our refund and cancellation policy, which forms part of these terms.
4. Your money and your clients
Payments from your clients go directly to your own payment provider account and settle to your own bank account. Klaar never holds, receives or controls your money. Your relationship with your payment provider is between you and them, including their fees and settlement times, and any dispute, chargeback or refund is between you and your client.
5. Your data
Your invoices, clients and business details remain yours. You can export all of it at any time, including after you stop paying. If you close your account we keep records for as long as tax law requires and then delete them.
6. What we do not promise
We work to keep Klaar available and correct, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Compliance checks in the software are a helpful second pair of eyes, not a guarantee that SARS will accept a document. Checking your own invoices remains your responsibility.
7. Ending it
You may stop using Klaar whenever you like. We may suspend an account for non-payment, or close one being used for fraud or anything unlawful. If we close your account without cause, we refund the unused part of what you paid.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
